Pastor Scott answered the call to become the Associate Pastor of Blue Ridge Bible Church in 1997. Scott and his family moved to Kansas City from the Denver area, where he and his wife had served as AWANA missionaries for ten years. Scott received his M.S. from Calvary Bible College in April of 2000. He was appointed Sr. Pastor in August 2000.

Scott has been happily married for over 20 years, he and his family live in the Raytown area.  Scott's speaking style is warm and genuine yet focused on the truth of God's Word and its relevance in our daily lives. Scott strives to inspire people to pursue God passionately for themselves and look at who they are in light of God's Word. He often challenges his congregation to be "Berean" and dig into the Word for themselves. His desire for Blue Ridge is that each member not only have a real relationship with the God who made them, but also seek to serve God and live lives that make a difference to the community around them.

Pastor Jim has been serving in the youth ministry since 1994. He was called to Blue Ridge Bible Church in August of 2002. In 1997 he graduated from Calvary Bible College with a degree in education and an emphases in youth ministry. His burning desire is to see young people come to Christ and train them to serve and please our awesome Lord! Jim and his wife, Deanna have two children.

Jim is energetic and enthusiastic in his approach with the teens at Blue Ridge. He cares about who these kids are and where they are going both spiritually and in terms of their future education. Jim works hard to involve all the kids in ministry to others especially through witnessing opportunities both at local malls and various events around the area. He makes sure the kids are involved in missions trips and the educational opportunites that help prepare them for these missions trips. They attend various conferences every year and he makes sure he keeps the kids exposed to new opportunites to share their faith in the living God with those around him.

Tom and his family relocated to the Kansas City area in 2002 so that he could continue his music studies at UMKC.  He has wide experience as a soloist, director, teacher and adjudicator with various organizations in the Mid- and Southwest United States.  As an advocate for the arts, he served as chair of NMArts, the state arts council for New Mexico, as a trustee for the Western States Arts Federation, and was general director of Opera Kadopera, a community opera company based in Kansas City.  Most recently, Tom was Artist-in-Residence for the music department at Avila University.

Tom's philosophy of ministry is a simple one.   He believes God has equipped each of us in unique ways to serve the body as a whole.  The more we function in our areas of giftedness and talents, the more effectively God can use us.

Marcia has been involved in various children's ministries since she was a teenager. She became the Children's Ministry Director in February 2006. Previously, she taught in the classroom of several Christian schools in both Albuquerque and the Kansas City area, and received a M.S. degree in school administration in May 2005 from Baptist Bible Graduate School in Clarks Summit, PA. She and her husband Jeff have two children who attend Blue Ridge Christian School.

Marcia cares very much about the young people who come though the doors at Blue Ridge and their families. She has built a comprehensive learning program so that all the children are learning in a systematic order. By the time a child moves up to the youth group at Blue Ridge they will have a good, basic knowledge of God and the Bible.

Marcia has worked hard at structuring the time the children spend in their classes. The teachers in each class keep things entertaining yet relevant to the lives of the children. Their goal is to help the child understand who God is in their lives practically. There are games, art projects and hands on learning activities at every age level that keep the children interested and focused.

Pat has been serving as the church secretary since 2001. She is a native daughter of Blue Ridge, since her parents were founding members of the church. Pat spent many years as a nurse and missionary with SIM.  After 13 years on the mission field both in Africa and Florida, God brought her back to Kansas City & Blue Ridge to serve in her current role.
